I’m an optometrist, writer, and someone who has spent much of my life searching for answers that medicine couldn’t fully provide.

In my late twenties, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that eventually cost me my colon. Along the way, I heard the same phrase over and over again—“we don’t know why.” I accepted it for a time. Eventually, I couldn’t.

What began as a personal search for understanding has unfolded over many years—through my work with patients, through my own health challenges, and through my writing. I am also the author of The Love Liar: A Memoir of Codependency, Narcissism and the Pursuit of Self-Love, which reflects an earlier chapter of that journey and the emotional terrain that shaped it.

Today, my work continues to explore the connection between our lived experiences, our perceptions, and the ways the body responds.

Here, I write about illness, healing, and the questions that remain when conventional explanations fall short. My work blends personal story with clinical perspective, and reflects an ongoing process of inquiry rather than fixed conclusions.

If you’re interested in following this work more closely, I also write on Substack, where I share more personal and evolving reflections as they unfold.
